Rogue Bakery

Every Cake Tells A Story

****MOVING OUT OF STATE****

Dear customers,

My husband and I have decided to make a mid-life improvement, which requires us to move out of state for warm weather, beach and travel.

While I am excited for this new journey, it also means that I will have to close my business in Alaska. As such, I will not be accepting any further orders.

Thank you everyone for your support of Rogue Bakery!

Sincerely,

Rebecca Reed

My Story

Welcome to Rogue Bakery!

My name is Rebecca Reed and Rogue Bakery is a single person operation. I absolutely love making works of art out of cake, frosting, and fondant. What started off as a curiosity for baking, has turned into a hobby. I'm self-taught off of YouTube and I've been actively making cakes since 2014. I believe that every cake has a story. From the theme, to the flavor, to the decorations. Let me help you tell your story through personalized service to develop a unique cake to fit your special occasion.

All of my cakes are special and tell a story. I hope you enjoy the photo gallery as much as I do!

Rainbow Trout Cake Display

What a Beauty?!?!  This was such a fun cake to make and challenged my cake making abilities.

Since display cakes have to survive about a month - from the time of making it to the end of the fair - I chose to make this cake out of Rice Krispie treats and modeling chocolate.  The water effect was made from Isomalt (hard candy).

Plane Cake 4.jpeg

Supercub with spinning propeller

Hi Everyone, this was a super exciting cake made even more spectacular by the spinning propeller!

I hid a small motor in the nose of the plane and ran the wiring down under the plane, down the rod that makes the plane vertical. Then I hid the battery pack under one of the floats. A little tape under the frosting water and of course the on/off switch at the end.

This cake was also a tribute to my late father-in-law, John Reed, who was always the happiest when he was flying.
